Becker Digital at the Digital Transformation Summit
Digital Transformation Summit Recap:
Becker Digital’s leadership team had the opportunity to attend the inaugural Digital Transformation Summit on February 2, 2023, in Washington, D.C. The Digital Transformation Summit was hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with AT&T, CISCO, DocuSign, Harman, Workday, and Zebra. The summit included keynotes and panelists from both the public and private sectors, all of whom drove home the essentialness of effective modernization efforts.
While the pandemic prompted increased awareness of the capabilities technology can provide government organizations, successful implementation of digital transformation strategies in the public sector is often easier said than done. Government modernization initiatives can require significant resource allocation and time before the practical impacts of increased efficiency and accessibility are recognized.
Successful digital transformation strategies improve the customer experience, enhance government agency effectiveness, and can even assist in employee recruitment and retention. Investing in legacy technologies and processes is essentially just investing in the past, while modernization efforts are centered on investing in the future. Truly effective digital transformations position government agencies to fulfill their founding missions of supporting our communities.
Technology isn't going away anytime soon, and users' expectations to seamlessly and conveniently interact online with government entities will only grow over the next few years. The optimal time to invest in digital transformation was yesterday. Organizations that wish to stay relevant over the next decade will need to implement modernization across external and internal functions as quickly as possible.
