Becker Digital at NAGC 2022 Communications School

Becker Digital attended the National Association of Government Communicators 2022 Communications School as an exhibitor and presenter. This year’s National Association of Government Communicators 2022 Communications School was held May 10-12 at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY. The Communications School provided training and networking opportunities for federal, state, and local government communicators and contractors from across the United States. 

“Social Media and Rural Populations” Breakout Session:

Hannah Becker, Becker Digital's VP/Creative Director, presented “Social Media and Rural Populations,” where she discussed diversity among rural populations, social media misconceptions around rural communities, and how government agencies can develop an effective rural-informed social media strategy. “Social Media and Rural Populations” provided attendees with actionable insights into rural technology usage, rural culture and communications methods, and projections of how rural communities will change over the next decade. 

NAGC 2022 Communications School Speakers:

This year's event offered a wonderful line-up of speakers on a variety of government communications topics, including emergency response communications, the changing digital landscape, combating misinformation, and effective public engagement strategies.

  • “Communicating When Lives are on the Line,” by Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell, DrPH, MPH, U.S. Fire Administrator

  • “How to Authentically Engage Multicultural Communities,” by Victoria Gogo
