Microsoft SharePoint Consultant (1099)

Becker Digital is seeking a Microsoft SharePoint Consultant (1099 contractor) to support technology training programs for public sector audiences. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with government agencies and possess deep subject matter expertise in Microsoft SharePoint and related Microsoft 365 applications.

Key Areas of Expertise Include:

  • SharePoint Sites (Creation, Management, and Optimization)

  • File and Information Management

  • SharePoint Lists and Libraries

  • Permissions Management

  • Power Apps and SharePoint Integration

  • Teams and SharePoint Integration

  • Using Microsoft Planner

  • Automation in MS365 Apps (e.g., Power Automate, Flow Triggers)

  • Other SharePoint-related topics as required by client needs

Position Responsibilities

  • Design and Review Training Materials: Develop and refine Microsoft SharePoint training content to meet specific learning objectives and client requirements.

  • Deliver Customized Training: Facilitate virtual or in-person training sessions tailored to diverse public sector audiences, ensuring clarity and engagement.

  • Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Use participant feedback and metrics to assess training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to Content Development: Assist in creating new training modules, incorporating emerging technologies and aligning with evolving government regulations and industry trends.

  • Maintain Professionalism: Exhibit the highest standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, and collaboration when working with clients and internal team members.

Compensation:

Negotiable rates based on experience and qualifications.

Location: All work can be performed remotely but must be conducted from a U.S. location.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration).

  • Experience:

    • Proven expertise in Microsoft SharePoint and related Microsoft 365 apps.

    • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering SharePoint training programs, preferably for government or public sector clients.

    • Prior experience working with federal, state, or local government agencies.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint customization, integration with other MS365 tools, and leveraging automation tools (e.g., Power Automate).

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and instructional design skills.

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

  • Must be located in the United States to satisfy the location requirements of this contract
